May 23, 2019: Trump's Own Polls show him #Losing
SO, WHAT HAPPENED THIS WEEK?
“The President of the United States is engaged in a cover-up.”
Nancy Pelosi accused Trump of engaging in a "cover-up” after Trump stormed out of a bipartisan meeting on infrastructure. Trump then spent three minutes berating Democratic leaders for saying unpleasant things about him, before proclaiming that he would not work with them until they stopped investigating him.
Impeachment?
With only 529 days remaining until Election Day 2020, Democrats are locked in an internal battle over beginning impeachment proceedings. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi clashed with fellow Dems in closed-door debate, rejecting the call to move forward for now. Here are top five reasons why Pelosi is not moving forward just yet.
Iran
With Donald Trump saying that war would be the “end of Iran,” U.S. officials say that military moves to deter Iran from attacks on Americans and allies were working, but vowed to continue the pressure campaign on Tehran.
Trump Scuffling
President Trump is scrambling to reverse his polling slide in the Rust Belt. His campaign is moving to shore up his standing in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania — where its own polling shows him trailing Joe Biden. His own polling shows him trailing Biden (Fox News poll data below).
FOX NEWS POLL: JOE, BERNIE, LIZ BEAT TRUMP.
Joe Biden would beat Donald Trump in the 2020 Presidential Election according to the latest Fox News Poll.
Among Democratic primary voters, Biden’s 35 percent leaves Bernie Sanders in a distant second place with 17 percent. Elizabeth Warren is next at 9 percent, Pete Buttigieg receives 6 percent, followed by Kamala Harris at 5 percent.
Worth repeating, and seeing visually - this is a Fox News poll showing Trump losing to three candidates, with one tied and one down by a lone percentage point.

THE DIGITAL SPEND GAP
Acronym/FWIW has a fascinating and frankly, worrisome data set about the digital spend gap. Once again, Donald Trump is outspending the Democrats - almost in sum - on digital advertising through Google and Facebook. Though digital ad dollars are still a relatively small portion of overall spend, the return on investment is significant as the cost per engagement online can be extremely cheap; literally pennies for a ‘like’ or comment on Facebook. And as people continue to disavow 'mainstream media,’ they turn to the internet and social networks for their news - and in this case, ads. In short, Democrats need to prioritize digital spend before they have a 2016 redux.
